RIAA: Mariah Carey Earns Two New Platinum & Multi-Platinum Singles Certifications

The Legendary Mariah Carey earns two new singles certifications from the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) for her singles "It's Like That" (Platinum) and "We Belong Together" (7x Platinum), both taken from her Seven-time Platinum and three-time Grammy Award-winning tenth studio album The Emancipation of Mimi (2005) via Island records.

For the 20th anniversary of The Emancipation of Mimi, Carey released a deluxe anniversary edition of the album on May 30, 2025. The edition was announced alongside various LP vinyl box sets, and preceded by a remix of "Don't Forget About Us" with Kaytranada.

On Monday, June 9th at 8 PM ET/PT, Carey alongside Jamie Foxx, Snoop Dogg & Kirk Franklin will receive BET Ultimate Icon Awards at the 2025 BET Awards. See more info HERE

The BET Awards 2025 which airs LIVE on Monday, June 9th at 8 PM ET/PT on BET, has announced the BET Ultimate Icon Award recipients for the Culture's Biggest Night including legendary artists/entertainers Jamie Foxx, Mariah Carey, Snoop Dogg & Kirk Franklin.
