Congratulations are once again in order for R&B/Soul legend Meli'sa Morgan as her 1986 debut solo single "Do Me, Baby" earns a Gold certification from the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) for 500,000 copies sold in the U.S.
Originally recorded, penned and produced by Prince in 1981 for his fourth studio album Controversy, Morgan's version became a bigger hit, peaking at No. 46 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart and No. 1 on the Billboard Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart.
Last year, Meli'sa Morgan's 1986 debut album of the same-name was certified Gold.
