Three-time Grammy Award-winning vocal/instrumental ensemble Sounds of Blackness has released their latest single of perseverance, hope, self-love, empathy and praise entitled "#URGONNAWIN" along with it's accompanying visual.
Written and produced by Jamecia Bennett, she adds:
"The isolation we all experienced during the pandemic quarantine, combined with the horror of gun violence, and the police killings of our brothers and sisters has forever changed our world. Schools and workplaces are experiencing chronic absenteeism across the nation as both children and adults struggle to cope with PTSD, and the loss of faith in our leaders. People need to know, especially the young people, that their voices matter and that they are capable of greatness."
"People are weary with the state of our world, and it can seem like the next nightmare is always waiting around the corner, what Sounds of Blackness is saying in #URGONNAWIN is opportunity is at hand. This is the time to seize the moment and build a movement that creates systemic equity and unified inclusive communities." -Sounds of Blackness founder and artistic visionary, Gary Hines
