Legendary artists Bell Biv DeVoe and Rev Ron of Run-D.M.C. team up for a new collaborative single and visual "Act Like You Know" available on all digital music platforms.
Written by BBD, Rev Ron and LL Cool J, the 90's throwback vibe track is Bell Biv DeVoe's first single in six years after I"m Betta" from their fourth album Three Stripes.
In a statement about the track, BBD's Michael Bivins says:
"'Act Like You Know' celebrates the brotherhood and history between us and Run that's been 40 years in the making. We hope the fans enjoy this track as much as we did getting together to make it."
The celebratory track serves as the lead single to the upcoming docufilm The Hustle of @617MikeBiv, which explores the life and career of Bivins.
Described as an inspiring story of triumph and resilience that traces Bivins' dreams of being an NBA player to becoming one of R&B and hip hop's most influential figures, The Hustle of @617MikeBiv first released August 24th on ALLBlk, AMC's destination for all things Black TV and entertainment.
Featured in the film are all the members of BBD as well as Snoop Dogg, Darryl "DMC" McDaniels, Doug E. Fresh, Sean "Puffy" Combs and more.
