New Album: Tank Releases His 11th Studio LP "Experience"

 

Multi-Grammy-nominated singer/songwriter Tank has officially given fans exactly what the title promises. His 11th studio album, EXPERIENCE, is out now via R&B Money/BMG, bringing a stacked guest list along for the ride. Charlie Wilson, Remy Ma, Kirk Franklin, Lecrae, Eric Dawkins, Zacardi Cortez, Fred Hammond, and MK all appear on the project. The album lands as his current single, "Yes," continues its climb up Billboard's Adult R&B Airplay chart, striking a chord with fans and radio alike and proving that more than two decades into his career, Tank still knows exactly how to move a room.

The 16-track EXPERIENCE finds Tank pushing into house and gospel-inspired sounds fans might not expect, while keeping the rich, in-the-moment storytelling that has made him one of the genre's most trusted voices. The project includes the #1 R&B radio hit "Control," his Janet Jackson-inspired record, the house-inspired "Highlight" with Charlie Wilson and MK, a dance floor-ready record built for late nights, and the gospel-rooted "How I Need You" with Kirk Franklin, Eric Dawkins, and Zacardi Cortez, a song that goes straight back to Tank's church roots.

The focus track, "Rick," is pure funk, the kind that makes you want to get up and dance, with Tank paying homage to the legendary Rick James. And as if the song wasn't already fire, Remy Ma comes through with a heavyweight verse that takes it over the top.

“I had so much fun making this project,” says Tank. “I named it ‘EXPERIENCE' because that is what I wanted my fans to have. Take a ride with me to different places, allowing me to evolve and be creative. This is what R&B looks like at its core.”

The momentum doesn't stop with music. Tank is currently out on the road on The R&B Tour: Raymond & Brown alongside Usher and Chris Brown, bringing his signature live energy to audiences night after night. Along the tour stops, he's been pulling up with free surprise piano pop-ups in cities like Chicago, San Francisco, Las Vegas, and Dallas. The rooms have been packed wall to wall, the shows are free, and the love has been loud, with fans driving in from all over just to sing along, support the new release, and get a hug.

He's also gearing up for the small screen, with Hulu announcing that Season 4 of its hit series Reasonable Doubt premieres October 6, where Tank steps into the role of Eric Cropper (click here).
