Multi-Grammy Award-winning Songwriter and record producer RODNEY "DARKCHILD" JERKINS has teamed up with some of the most successful and emerging recording artists in Contemporary Gospel music today such as: Kirk Franklin, Le'Andria Johnson, Marvin Sapp, Karen Clark Sheard, Lecrae, Heavenly Joy, Mary Mary, Shelby 5, Jac Ross, Fred Hammond, Kelontae Gavin, Kierra Sheard, Joy Enriquez & Tim Bowman Jr. to create the supergroup THE GOOD NEWS for a new single "Come Together" via RCA Inspiration.
"Come Together" which was produced and co-written by Jerkins along with the late LaShawn Daniels, Jazz Nixon & Lecrae, mission is to inspire hope, comfort and raise funds supporting pandemic relief efforts globally.
Jerkins adds:
"With all thatthagoing on in our world, I felt it was time to give back by going back to my gospel roots. The world is in a place of chaos, confusion and fear, but with God on our side, directing our lives, this too shall pass. In these times of social distancing, I believe through God, love, family, and music we can still come together."
Proceeds from "Come Together" will benefit two organizations MusiCares COVID-19 Relief Fund & Compassion International.
