New Music: VanJess teams with Lucky Daye for "Slow Down"

Nigerian-American R&B sister duo VanJess has teamed up with fellow rising sensation Lucky Daye on their latest single and it's accompanying performance visual for "Slow Down".

The collaborative track appears on the deluxe edition to VanJess' recently released project Homegrown which includes five new songs.

VanJess Announces Upcoming EP "Homegrown"

Nigerian-American R&B sister duo VanJess took to social media to announce the upcoming release of their EP Homegrown for February 5, 2021.

The 9-track project includes the singles "Come Over", "High & Dry" and "Curious" and features guest appearances from KAYTRANADA, Phony Ppl, Devin Morrison, Jimi Tents & Garren.

Homegrown follows after VanJess' 2018 debut album Silk Canvas.

New Music: VanJess - 'Curious' (from Upcoming EP "Homegrown")

Nigerian-American R&B sister duo VanJess which consist of Ivana & Jessica Nwokike has released their latest single entitled "Curious" featuring Jimi Tents & Garren. 

The mid-tempo track follows after previous singles "Slow Down", "High & Dry" & "Come Over" and set to appear on the duo's upcoming EP Homegrown on Friday, January 29th across all major streaming platforms.

New Music: VanJess Covers Zhané's "Groove Thang"

 

Nigerian-American R&B sister duo VANJESS which consist of Ivana & Jessica Nwokike has released a cover of Zhané's '90s R&B classic, "Groove Thang".

The track is featured as part of R&B Rotation, a new global playlist that offers a deep dive into the best in modern R&B.

R&B sensations VanJess which consists of Nigerian sisters Ivana & Jessica Nwokike returns with their laid-back, smooth, feel-good single and accompanying video "Come Over".

On the visuals, VanJess adds:

"For this video, we really wanted to capture vintage glamour but still feel like the future and represent who we are. Early in quarantine we were really inspired looking at old photos of our parents in Nigeria and thought about what being at home living the lyrics of this record would look like in their world. We hope this song makes everyone feel good and dance, we believe energy and soul and tempo still has a place in R&B!"

In the Summer of 2018, Nigerian-American R&B sister duo VANJESS composed of Ivana and Jessica Nwokike released their anticipated debut album Silk Canvas via Keep It Cool Records.

The sisters follow it up with the remix project, Silk Canvas: The Remixes, which consists of 9 fresh mixes with guest appearances from Saba, Xavier Omar, Bas, GoldLink, Masego, MNEK and Ari Lennox who appears on the retro-soul track, "Cool Off the Rain".

Critically acclaimed duo sisters VANJESS unveil the “Addicted” Maxi Single via Keep Cool.

 

In addition to featuring the fan favorite single “Addicted,”it includes the “Addicted 2”(Keep Cool Remix) [feat. Bas] which was produced by Jay Kurzweil. Paris-born and New York-raised Sudanese rapper Bas delivers an airtight verse to complement the sisters’ hypnotic harmonies and sweeping choruses.
