The 1996 hit movie Set It Off which starred Jada Pinkett Smith, Queen Latifah, Vivica A. Fox and Kimberly Elise is being transformed and adapted into a stage play via Jecaryous Productions.

R&B singers LeToya and Demetria McKinney will play Francesca “Frankie” Sutton and Tisean “T.T.” Williams respectively, while rapper Da Brat play Cleopatra “Cleo” Sims and actress Kyla Pratt play Lida “Stony” Newsom.

LeToya took to Instagram: “Anybody who knows me knows that Set It Off is one of my favorite movies of all time”.

The stage play adaptation is written and developed by Je’Caryous Johnson. “Without a doubt, this will be one of the greatest stage plays ever seen in the urban theatre market. From the type of action and to the movement on the stage, it will be nothing short of jaw-dropping. This will be the first piece of my career that will stretch me to the limits of what can be done and seen by our urban audience. I will be the same intensity, same passion and same shock and awe, breathtaking moments that made this movie resonate with millions of people.”, said Johnson.

Set It Off the stage play will visit several cities across the U.S. including Atlanta, D.C., Houston, Chicago, St. Louis, Detroit and Los Angeles. Visit www.jeycaryous.com for more details.
