Janelle Monáe Tops Billboard's Adult R&B Radio with "Lipstick Lover"

Grammy nominated singer, songwriter, actress and activist Janelle Monáe tops Billboard's Adult R&B Radio with "Lipstick Lover" after 13 weeks on this chart.

"Lipstick Lover" has also peaked at No. 14 and No. 16 on Billboard's R&B/Hip-Hop Airplay and Hot R&B Songs charts respectively and can be found on Monáe's latest album The Age of Pleasure.

This is Monáe's second No. 1 on this chart following "I Like That" (3 Weeks) in 2018.

New Video: Janelle Monáe - "Turntables"

Grammy nominated Singer, songwriter and actress Janelle Monáe has released her new Social Injustice song and it's accompanying visual "Turntables" which features iconic figures such as Muhammad Ali, Maxine Waters, Angela Davis, LGBTQ+ rights champions and more.

"Turntables" appears in the Amazon Original Movie All In: The Fight for Democracy, a documentary on voter suppression that features Stacy Abrams arriving on Amazon Prime Video on September 18.

"Turntables" follows after Monae's critically acclaimed 2018 album Dirty Computer and is available on all digital music platforms.

Janelle Monáe who released her third studio LP Dirty Laundry in April of this year has unveiled the visual to her latest single, "Crazy, Classic, Life" which co-stars Tessa Thompson.

 

 

"Crazy, Classic, Life" follows after Janelle's No. 1 Urban A/C hit, "I Like That".

 

Dirty Computer was nominated last week for Album of the Year at the 2019 Grammy Awards. Monáe’s video for the single “Pynk,” also featuring Thompson, was nominated for Best Music Video.
