Produced by frequent collaborator Rex Rideout, the track serves as the lead single to James' upcoming seventh studio album.
"Complicated" joins James' previous top 10 entries "Set Me Free" & "Don't Want You Back" which peaked at No. 7 and No. 1 respectively.
